When to sow potatoes has always been the concern of farmers. How to sow potatoes can facilitate the later management? Farmers should know the planting time of potatoes.
Potato planting time is from January to march in spring. Select sandy loam soil rich in organic matter for planting. Put 1500-2000 kg of organic fertilizer and 150 kg of turf ash per mu. After the fertilizer is scattered into the field, fully mix and rake with rotary cultivator, level and start the border. The border is 1.3 meters wide. There are 3 rows of border planting, with a row spacing of 40 cm and a plant spacing of 25 cm. The amount of planting per mu is 100 kg. After planting, cover it with plastic film. When the seedlings emerge, the film shall be broken in time to introduce the seedlings. When the seedlings grow for 15-20 cm, top dressing shall be carried out. 15-20 loads of biogas fecal water shall be used per mu, and 7.5 kg of potassium fertilizer shall be added. Then the ditch bottom clay shall be used to cultivate the soil, so as to promote the rapid growth of the plants in the early stage. Water frequently to keep the soil moist. Avoid being too wet or too dry.
For potato planting, select disease resistant varieties, and select healthy potatoes from disease-free fields as seeds. First, pre soak the potato seeds in 40 ℃ -50 ℃ warm water for 1 minute, and then soak them in 60 ℃ warm water (the ratio of seed potatoes to warm water is 1:4) for 15 minutes. The seed potato was soaked in 72.2% pulike or 70% Gelu (800 times liquid) for 15 minutes and then dried and sown.
Soil disinfection of potato planting technology: strict soil disinfection must be carried out for continuous planting of potatoes in vegetable fields where potato taro and eggplant crops have been planted. The method is as follows: the stems and leaves of the previous crops, turn the soil over more than 20cm deep, and then plough the residual roots and fruits (tubers) in the layer to reduce the pathogens. Use 2kg of 50% carbendazim wettable powder mixed with 20kg-30kg of quicklime and 40kg-60kg of plant ash per mu to sprinkle into the field. After the cultivation ridge is harrowed and leveled, the cultivation hole or ditch is opened on the top of the ridge. When planting potatoes, the protective soil of 40% pentachloronitrobenzene 3kg mixed with 90kg-150kg dry fine soil is scattered around the potatoes.
For the fertilizer and water management of potato planting method, 25 kg-50 kg of stable manure of 300 kg-500 kg per mu shall be evenly added about 20 days in advance. Ammonium bicarbonate shall be sealed and piled at the sunny place, fully decomposed and evenly mixed. It shall be applied and turned into the soil when turning the soil deeply. When the seedlings are 3-5 leaves long, topdressing should be conducted once. Generally, 500 times of the solution of Botrytis cinerea plus urea or potassium dihydrogen phosphate plus 1% of the expansion element should be applied. During the expansion period of potato blocks, attention should be paid to strengthening the field irrigation to improve the yield.
